90 ML Movie Core:

Four young ladies, who are exhausted of their commonplace lives, get another rent of life when they get to know a down to earth and dynamic young lady.

90 ML Movie Analysis:

Starting from the release of 90ml teaser there were some mixed responses. Many had descended intensely on depicting young ladies drinking, smoking and talking about their sexual experiences in an easygoing way. The creators were condemned for advancing pseudo woman’s rights and ruining the way of life. In any case, the film isn’t just about extolling all these. There are scenes where young ladies are appeared and sharing their own issues, which include absence of sexual coexistence, same sex love, misconception with life accomplice, etc.

I’m little bit surprised to the crowd’s awesome reception for Oviya when the camera zooms on to her. It’s not because of Bigg Boss, but for whatever she is. The actor plays as Rita in this adult movie.

She’s not a ideal samaththu ponnu. She smokes & drinks too. She is in love with no strings attached. She is unapologetic. She is a free-spirited woman. But everyone likes her. In Rita’s words, it is her “bungalow”; her “rules”. It takes a lot to appreciate such a character in Tamil cinema because you are often told how a woman should behave, what she should wear and how she should speak.

The fim begins with Thamara (Bommu Lakshmi) and her significant other counseling a specialist (Devadarshini). The couple has gone there to talk about the drinking issues of Thamara. Rita (Oviya) gets to know four young ladies in a level where she has recently moved to. The lives of Thamara, Kajal (Masoom Shankar), Paru (Sree Gopika) and Suganya (Monisha) changes when their kinship blooms with Rita. Every one of them open up about their different dreams amid their down to business discussions and Rita urges them to experience their lives minus all potential limitations. She guarantees to explain their own issues consequently. Will she succeed?

The motion picture has just the same old thing new to offer as far as story. We have seen comparable stories with men assuming lead jobs. Here, the thing that matters is that the circumstances are described from ladies’ perspective. The part of ladies freedom has been contacted upon by including a few situations which may raise the eyebrows of many. Correspondingly, there are groups of onlookers who may appreciate watching young ladies in an at no other time considered way to be far as Tamil film is concerned. What the film needs is an appropriate passionate interface however it engages to a limited degree. A solid screenplay would have improved the motion picture.

Oviya depicts a character who lives by her own terms. She fits into the job of an intense and brave young lady easily. Alternate young ladies are only okayish in their exhibitions. Simbu makes an appearance which could have had more effect.

Rating: 2.5/5
